In Praise of the Drinkable Air C8 Unit

Our legacy product was built over fifteen years ago and was called a C8 unit (Originally called a chameleon because it could change humidity into water). It had/has a 26 litre reservoir tank, which is about 1 1/2 18 liter water bottles, and produces about 32 liters of water per day. The units have always been plug and play, meaning you simply connect it to a power source and turn it on, and they are easy to move around.

The Founders' Vision

The two founders of the Drinkable Air company, saw a business.

 Market Need: They primarily sold products to replace traditional water coolers in the southern United States and the Caribbean.

Customer Preference: People love the taste of the water generated by the C8 unit and appreciate the convenience of avoiding heavy water jugs.

In addition, there was the magic of ozonation as a purification process and there were only three parts that needed to be exchanged every six months.

A couple of weeks ago, we had a from Dubai call about a C8 unit that needed some attention.

After dispatching a service tech and getting some information, we discovered that the unit in question had been manufactured in 2013 and probably exported to the UAE in 2014. Still operational after 11+ years.

Reliable*, easy to use, great tasting resource. You have to ask yourself, why doesn't everyone do this?

*reliable; Probability that an item will function correctly when needed for the period required in a specific environment.
